Dear America,
You fight for our freedom, rights, and our protection. You protect us from the people on the outside trying to get into harm of “We The People”. You give us the freedom to do almost anything.
Both of my parents have and are serving. They tell me when they went to Iraq how hard our men and women are fighting. They tell me how people are dieing for our country so that we can be free. People often take their life for granted, when they really should be very grateful with what we can achieve and provide for any of our fellow Americans.
I am a military child and I am proud to say it. Being a military child has some benefits but it can also sometimes get rough. We have to go through times when we don’t see a parent for months, even years. I was only three years old, when my mom had to leave for a year and a half. I was five the next time I saw her. My mom missed out on so, much of my life. At our hard times our friends in uniform helped us. America has provided soldiers to help us with anything needed, and were able to fight for our country. They don’t have to, but they do anyways. People don’t even realize the work and training soldiers have to go through in order to actually get a job or a good paying field to go into. The training is not fun, nor easy in anyway at all. They have to go through so much just to go through so much more. What for? Why, why do you fight when you could have a “normal” job. Well when times get really hard you can always look back at what you have accomplished and have yet to fulfill. People at my age can benefit from so much of what you and your soldiers have achieved and the ways you have attain it. Just like all the unsilent protests our fellow Americans have started that ended with people getting hurt or people dying. In the end you have kept generation Z safe and sound. For this I thank you for all the hard work you have put in to keep us safe.
Love,
Your Daughter
